Kiliwatch, Paris

Wow Kiliwatch, you are expensive!  This is probably Paris’s most famous high street vintage store.  It’s HUGE.  It feels a bit like an Urban Outfitters. The one good thing about it is, if you’re searching for a specific item, like an aviator jacket or a black leather pencil skirt, you will find it.  It has everything: Polka dot shirt section, check. Safari jacket section, check. Padded double-breasted blazer section, check… It even has a separate sunglasses shop and a separate men’s shoe shop. All a bit Nathan Barley. They’ve tried so hard to tick all the boxes that it doesn’t have the integrity a vintage shop should have. There’s no love for the clothes, it’s there to make money, and judging by the amount of tourists packing the shop out, it’s probably making a lot.
I think it’s way over priced. I’ve visited a few times but have never bought anything.  It’s a store for lazy vintage shoppers who need all the trends presented on a plate.
The mens shoe shop.
